For about fifteen years now I have been enjoying holidays at Drumnadrochit by Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland. In that time I have had the opportunity to stay at many different types of accommodation, staying everywhere from a tent to a luxury hotel. During those stays I came to the conclusion that I preferred the self catering holiday cottage type of accommodation because of the freedom it afforded me whilst holidaying at Drumnadrochit. There are many different types of cottage available at Drumnadrochit depending on the size of your party and the size of your budget. by choosing a holiday in a cottage at Drumnadrochit you will also save money in comparison to the cost of a hotel.
Also the Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness area has amazing views which can be better taken in from a holiday cottage with a garden, rather than being stuck in a hotel room. If your holiday cottage at Drumnadrochit has a garden then you can enjoy barbecues in the summer as well! Drumnadrochit and Inverness have some excellent restaurants so there is no need to cook for yourself unless you want to which is always an option in your accommodation. So all in all its thumbs up for self-catering holiday cottage accommodation in the Highlands.
