Annapolis is a small town located between the better known cities of Washington DC Baltimore. Annapolis is a wonderful city to explore by foot.

Travel through the side roads that contain some of the most preserved historical houses of the 18th and 19th century. Pass by the Victorian-Gothic style houses such as the Banneker-Douglas Museum located on Franklin street. Head towards Church Circle where tombs of Maryland’s founders are now interred; sit and relax underneath the great trees that do so encircle this fine Romanesque Revival church. Spend some time at St. Johns College which is only a few steps from the church. This campus contains many historical buildings that have contributed to the romantic feel of Annapolis. As one strolls passed the governor’s mansion, one can admire the lovely historical homes that line the street.

For a truly romantic setting, one should not forget the imperial Treaty of Paris Hotel. This hotel offers fine dinning in a colonial setting.
