Going on a City Break This Valentine’s
Candle-lit dinners, red roses, champagne, shopping, all treats that we girls want on Valentine’s Day. With a city break you can combine all of these things and so much more making it a day or a weekend to remember for years to come. Leeds is a brilliant UK city to visit on the most romantic weekend of the year, with designer shops, gourmet restaurants, trendy bars and clubs as well as some fantastic sight to see making it one of England’s most up and coming cities. If you are going to be staying in Leeds, the city centre is definitely the place to be and for the best in luxury then the dominating facade of The Queens hotel is definitely worth a visit. The four star hotel offers couples the best in location, dining and drinking as well as being perfectly placed for all the major travel connections including the train station and Leeds Bradford Airport.
When out and about a good idea would be to head over to the bars on Call Lane which offer everything from classy cocktails to cheesy pop so there is definitely something for every taste. After a couple of drinks you can find some of the best restaurants in the UK when in Leeds. Salvos in Headingley were recently featured on Gordon Ramsey’s F Word and there is a brilliantly traditional Chinese restaurant called the Red Chile close to Millennium Square. If you fancy something more traditional then head down Greek Street for a steak at Sam’s restaurant.
If you have had enough food and drink to last you a week then why not walk it off on the shopping streets of Leeds. There are small designer boutiques, Harvey Nichols dominates the main shopping street and there are some really cool vintage shops if you head down the side streets.
Valentines is about spoiling yourself so why not spoil yourself with a trip to Leeds this Valentine’s Day?
