Are you a patron of the arts? Could you quite happily spend all day wondering round a gallery? Well, at one hotel in Scotland you can go one step further than that.
Once the home of a clergyman, The Lime Tree hotel is now an art gallery that provides bed and breakfast accommodation.
The 19th century mansion, which overlooks Loch Linnhe on the West Coast of Scotland, is the working studio of landscape artist David Wilson. It contains its own art gallery, which is situated next to the restaurant so visitors can enjoy their breakfast while taking in the exhibitions.
The gallery’s aim is to entertain, educate and encourage and has hosted shows from the National Art Collections, giving contemporary artists a platform to show and sell their work.
The Accommodation at The Lime Tree is everything you would expect from a gallery. Each of the nine rooms is uniquely decorated and all are luxurious.
Wilson is a renowned highland landscape artist and the location of The Lime Tree hotel reflects this.
